Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer vs. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Well before you even carry on reading, it's worth mentioning that there is a clear winner here. And it's not the more expensive one, fortunately.

Collection's concealer has a very good reputation in the internet world, and when my customers were looking for a good concealer when I still worked at Boots, I would always recommend this. At £4.19, it's ridiculously cheap and you can't really go wrong.

I splashed out on the Estee Lauder concealer when I last bought my third tube of Double Wear foundation, as I was #feelingspendy and had high hopes. It's still nice and creamy and offers a reasonable amount of coverage, but it really has no chance against Collection's contribution.

They have very similar applicators and apply a similar amount of product, but what they apply is very different.

Estee Lauder

Top: Estee Lauder.
Bottom: Collection.

Estee Lauder's (right) is quite creamy but nowhere near as thick and feels more watery in consistency. It does conceal some stuff but is nowhere near as heavy duty as it should be. I love how it feels more luxurious, but since I don't have the best skin, it's really not good enough, especially for £21.50. As you can see, the Estee Lauder blends out really nicely, but the problem is that it blends out to almost nothing, which means it doesn't offer much coverage.

Collection's (left) is thicker and is much better at covering stuff. Honestly, it's just brilliant. It sinks into my premature wrinkles around my eyes but then everything does so I'm not going to hold that against it. Keep in mind that Collection's is slightly the wrong shade for my skin, but it is much thicker and just offers much better coverage.

If in doubt, always always go for Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer. It's just so much better at a fifth of the price. Imagine. You can get 5 concealers for the price of one! Sorry...I love maths...
